What part is in doubt? Geez, Dave. It's like you live in a cage or something.

Not that I'm really that interested in reading a thread about this on MNSpeak, but I'm kinda surprised they haven't picked it up. I just did a search on startribue.com (the most "hipster-friendly" of all major news outlets, or so I hear) and didn't come up with anything. Aaron mentioned the other day that that original KARE 11 link seems to be the only one from any news outlet in town, major or minor. Maybe that's changed since then and I just haven't noticed.

I do realize that people who watch the local news aren't going to be very interested in this story for the most part, but a story like this has to have a niche someplace. Maybe it's here...
Riemenschneider is out on paternity leave now i think...

I just read a non-music related article that he wrote in the paper over the weekend. I know they were reassigning people to different beats (in addition to the one they normally had), so I would think SOMEHOW, SOMEWHERE, the Star Tribune would send one of their other reporters to make the mile and a half drive down Washington Ave to see what is up.

I spoke to Tom earlier today and posted a brief this afternoon:

(Also, I think Tom talked to someone at the Strib, probably Chris, who I don't think is on paternity leave quite yet. I think I'll be seeing him tonight at Velvet Revolver.)

Yeah, everything I've heard from people who were told by Tom is that everything's up and running. I do only hope that people aren't scared away. Hell, let's make Friday a Live Long 400 show. That is officially my plan.

Glad to hear the favorable update, Ross.

The Glad Version also sent out a press release confirming their show for Friday is on.

In the interest of supporting local music, this might be a good Friday to go to the 400.

Edit: Actually, it's just Adam Svec solo 8ish on Friday at the 400.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are putting the finishing touches on our third full length. We are releasing the record in conjunction with the beautiful people at Draw Fire Records ( www.drawfirerecords.com). The CD release date is set for 10/27, so mark your calendars. More information will be hitting your ears and eyes soon.

...Also, you should come to the show mentioned above on Friday night. I promise it will be a good time.

Adam

The Pines and Spaghetti Western String Co are playing Saturday at the 400 Bar too... sounds like a good time to me.
