7/6/2008 Action Versus Action get Photoshopped

Sometimes bands have to shoot promo photos when they have an upcoming CD release show.  Sometimes it gets stagnant and boring no matter how awesome the band is, or how cool the location may be.  ...or maybe photographers just like to mess with people. 

In either case, the above photo resulted from the band Action Versus Action's City Pages shoot at the Walker Art Center's mini golf course.  The band told HowWasTheShow Photographer Alexa Jones that they wanted to be, "holding some sweet orbs or something."  You don't say something like that to a rock photographer if you don't mean it.  Miss Jones obliged. 

Action Versus Action's CD release show is Saturday, July 12th at the Triple Rock.  Doors are at 9pm, tickets are $7, and with my apologies to the youngsters, it's 21+.  The Invincible Kids open the night with the release of their  EP, and one of my favorite local bands, The Hopefuls, close out the night.
