8/26/2009 Blue Sky Blackout

They've only played a few shows as a group, but the experience the members of Blue Sky Blackout have playing in other bands and in some cases together shines through.

In this photo a be-scarfed Jon Hunt plays with the band Friday, August 21st at the Uptown Bar in Minneapolis.

Blue Sky Blackout was assembled by Hunt (formerly of Lunar 9/Medication/Shatterproof) as a virtual supergroup of artists, many close to the Susstones family.  Members include Christian Erickson (Astronaut Wife) who serves as lead vocalist, guitarists Brandon Dalida (Mercurial Rage, Medication) and Mykl Westbrooks (Landing Gear), drummer Marc Iwanin (Medication, the Meg, Basement Apartment), and bassist Tim Ritter (Astronaut Wife, Bella Koshka).
