2/1/2007 Bill Mike Band at Minneapolis Take Cover

2/1/2007 Bill Mike Band at Minneapolis Take Cover
The "Minneapolis Take Cover" event at The Varsity Theater in Minneapolis raised money for refugees in Darfur, Sudan. Each band on the bill played three cover songs, a cover of another band on the bill, and one or two of their own songs. It was a pretty cool event.

Here's my memory recap, so it may not be spot on...

One for the Team covered: A Built to Spill song, "Today" by the Smashing Pumpkins and "For Guys' Eyes Only" by local band Hockey Night.  Chris Koza covered "Gone for Good" by The Shins, "Us" by Haley Bonar, and a John Lennon song.  Cowboy Curtis played a song by Amateur Love (from WI), a Chris Koza cover and a song by Weezer off the Pinkerton album.  Seymore Saves the World covered Ween and a Cowboy Curtis song.  Haley Bonar covered "Brand New Key" by Melanie, a Nirvana tune, and "Secure" by The Bill Mike Band.
