9/16/2007 Awesome Snakes at 7th Street Entry

After a six-month absence following the birth of Annie "Awesome"  Holoien's new baby, the Awesome Snakes have been getting back into full swing with a couple of shows in the past month:  one at the Plaster the Town closing show at Soap Factory in August, and one (pictured here in a photo by Steve Cohen) at the Entry opening for Chooglin' this past Friday.  Annie, along with Danny "Snakes" Henry on drums, got the packed house dancing at the edge of the stage for such solid-gold hits as  "Awesome Party" and "I Want a Snake."  So far it looks like you'll need to trek down to Madison Dec. 15 for the next show they have scheduled at the moment, but odds are you'll have a couple more chances to catch up on all things awesome and/or snake-y by year's end without leaving town.
