For the sixth year in a row HowWasTheShow.com provides coverage of the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX with an independent local angle. In past years Stacy Schwartz, Kate Galloway, Mark Mallman, Steve Cohen and Neil Olstad have all contributed famously to our extensive personalized coverage. 

This year, HowWasTheShow BFF, photographer Sara Montour heads south to host a series of "almost live" audio blogs (blogcasts, if you will) that will feature commentary, interviews and photos throughout the week. And if our experience with these SXSW blogcasts is any indication, there should be some fun and craziness along the way as well.

Experience SXSW vicariously with us as Sara explores the streets of Austin, trolls through the music venues and "phones it in."

• Friday, 3/20/09 - 9 p.m.: A completely random report about the crew getting busted while trying to charge their electronic devices.

• Friday, 3/20/09 - 12:00 p.m.: Sara and Shayna report in on thing more random than not, but this may be the best report yet.

Day 2: Adventures in Austin

• Thursday, 3/19/09 - 4:30 p.m.: Sara, Shayna and Gabe talk about bands (and lunch) on the way to see more bands
• Thursday, 3/19/09 - 11:30 a.m.: Sara recaps Wednesday night (lines, lines, lines!) and plans her Thursday concert-going.

Day 1: The trip down continues, and ultimate arrival

• Wednesday, 3/18/09 - 8:00 p.m.: Sara arrives in Austin. Reports that they have made a cover story that they're really a band called Sweater Teeth on their way to SXSW to play.
• Wednesday, 3/18/09 - 12:00 p.m.: Sara reports in from a Waffle House in Oklahoma on her van mates, who include bloggers from weheartmusic.com and britrockatthetop.

Day 0: The trip down

• Tuesday, 3/17/09 - 6:30 p.m.: Sara and company load into "The Molly Trixie" for the long trip down highway 35 to Austin.
